Dromana, looking north east from Antony’s Nose ca. early 1920s

Description A Rose postcard P. 2084 taken very early in the 1920s although, given the angle of the shadows it is around mid-day and in the summer months. We are on Anthony’s Nose looking north easterly along the Nepean Highway towards the Dromana pier. The ferry at the pier is probably the Hygeia. This is the second image that shows how deserted the area could be back then. Just the one horse and cart and maybe some cattle on the side of the road beyond the cart. The other image is another Rose postcard but shows the view looking west towards McCrae.
